Monthly Performance Review of Publicly Offered CII in Ukraine. November 2020
In November, the UX index increased by 13.62%, and the PFTS index by 1.48%.
By the rate of return for a month YTD, the sectors of CII with public issue had the following breakdown of the results: open-ended funds were in the first place (+10.54%(+3.19% for the month)), the second place went to the sector of interval funds (-0.37%(+2.35% for the month), closed-end CII were the third (-4.10% (+7.11% for the month)).
OPEN-ENDED FUNDS
According to the UAIB, the value of the net assets (NAV) of 16 open-ended CII as at 30 November 2020 amounted to UAH 108.68M. According to the data provided at the end of November, the total increase of net assets amounted toUAH 3,679.18k (+3.50%).
The scope for rates of return of open-ended CII ranged from +0.19% to +12.67%.
According to the results ofNovember, the following funds were the leaders of growth in the sector of open-ended CII:
«OTP Klasychnyi» (+UAH 1061.16k (+4.24%)) – received UAH 954.28k of net inflow due to attraction of investors' funds (+3.81% in circulation);
«UNIVER.UA/Iaroslav Mudryi: Fond Aktsii» (+UAH 425.82k (+6.86%)) – due to attraction of investors' funds (+2.80% in circulation) and increase in the value of the investment portfolio components received UAH 171.67k of net inflow.
The following funds made the biggest payments to investors in November:
«OTP Fond Aktsii» (+UAH 482.71k (+8.40%)) – redemption of a significant number of certificates from investors (-3.79% in circulation), led to a net outflow in the amount of UAH 230.52k;
«KINTO-Kaznacheiskyi» (-UAH 50.31k (-1.30%)) – redemption of insignificant number of investment certificates (-2.72% in circulation) caused a net outflow in the amount of UAH 106.20k;
«KINTO-Klasychnyi» (+UAH 806.93k (+2.89%)) – despite the growth of NAV, due to the presentation by investors for redemption of 18 certificates, the fund received UAH 11.65k net outflow.
KINTO-Klasychnyi» (28.18% of the total NAV (UAH 30.63M)) took the first place among the open-ended CII in terms of market share, the second one was the «OTP Klasychnyi» (23.99% of total NAV (UAH 26.07M)), the third got the fund «UNIVER.UA/Myhailo Hrushevskyi: Fond Derzhavnykh Paperiv» (7.34% (UAH 7.98M). Fourth place was taken by the fund «UNIVER.UA/Iaroslav Mudryi: Fond Aktsii» (6.10% (UAH 6.63M), the fund «OTP Fond Aktsii» (5.73% (UAH 6.23M)) closes the top five.
The following funds were among the leaders in terms of rate of return:
«OTP Fond Aktsii» (+12.67%), «KINTO-Ekviti» (+8.06%) and «Argentum» (+5.87%).
The worst indicators in November were demonstrated by funds:
«VSI» (+0.19%), «OTP Klasychnyi» (+0.42%) and «Altus-Depozyt» (+0.56%).
INTERVAL FUNDS
In November, the review included 2 interval CII, whose net assets, according to UAIB, amounted to UAH 2.44M. Compared to the indicators of this sector at the end of the previous month, the total NAV increased by UAH 58.25k (+1.17%).
Based on the rate of return, funds in the sector had the following breakdown of the results: «PARYTET» (+2.66%), «TASK UKRAINSKYI KAPITAL» (+2.04%).
CLOSED-END FUNDS
The net asset value of 2 closed-end CII included in November review, at the end of the month amounted to UAH 10.48M. According to the provided data, total NAV of these funds increased by UAH 955.83k (+10.04%).
Based on the rates of return, funds in the sector had the following breakdown of the results: «Indeks Ukrainskoi Birzhi» (+10.04%) and «TASK Universal» (+4.19%).
