Monthly Performance Review of Publicly Offered CII in Ukraine. March 2021
According to the results of the month, the UX index increased by 5.50%, and the PFTS index decreasedby 0.82%.
By the rate of return, sectors of CII with public issue had the following breakdown of the results:open-ended funds(+3.22% (+1.29%)), closed-end CII (+2.45%(+1.07%)), interval funds werein third place (+1.07% (-1.05%)).
OPEN-ENDED FUNDS
According to the UAIB, the value of the net assets (NAV) of 16 open-ended CII as at 31 March 2021 amounted to UAH 175.52M. According to the data provided at the end of March, the total increaseof net assets amounted to UAH 19,398.91k (+12.43%). Due to significant investment of investors, the total net capital inflow in the sector amounted to UAH 17,573.24k.
Thescopefor rates of return of open-ended CII ranged from +7.39% to-3.06%.
According to the results ofMarch, the following funds were the leaders of growth in the sector of open-ended CII:
“OTP Klasychnyi” (+UAH 16,166.55k (+23,03%)) - received the largest inflow of net capital in the amount of UAH 15,466.31k due to additional placement of certificates (+21.89% in circulation);
“OTPFondAktsii” (+UAH 2,743.89k (+34.67%)) - same, the additional placement of certificates (+25.84% in circulation) allowed the fund to receive net inflow UAH 2,136.45k;
“UNIVER.UA/Iaroslav Mudryi: Fond Aktsii” (+UAH 567.86k (+7.80%)) - same, the additional placement of certificates (+3.57% in circulation) allowed the fund to receive net inflow UAH 269.77k;
The following funds made the biggest payments to investors in March:
“KINTO-Ekviti” (-UAH 157.03k (-3.13%)) - the largest net outflow in the amount of UAH 171.66k is associated with the redemption of certificates from investors (-3.46% in circulation);
“VSI” (-UAH 110.87k (-5.03%)) - outflow in the amount of UAH 100.06k is associated with the redemption of certificates from investors (-4.57% in circulation);
“KINTO-Klasychniy” (-UAH 139.86k (-0.45%)) - redemption from the fund participants 33 investment certificates led to an outflow of capital in the amount of UAH 22.53k.
“OTP Klasychnyi”(49.21% of thetotal NAV (UAH 86.37M)) took the first place among the open-ended CII in terms of market share, thesecond one was the“KINTO-Klasychnyi” (17.69% of total NAV (UAH 31.04M)), the third got the fund“OTPFondAktsii” (9.21% (UAH 10.66M). Fourthplacewas taken by the fund “UNIVER.UA/Myhailo Hrushevskyi: Fond Derzhavnykh Paperiv” (4.69% (UAH 8.24M), the fund “UNIVER.UA/Iaroslav Mudryi: Fond Aktsii” (4.47% (UAH7.84M)) closes the top five.
Thefollowingfundswereamongtheleadersintermsofrateofreturn:
“OTPFondAktsii” (+7.39%), “Argentum” (+4.52%) and “UNIVER.UA/Iaroslav Mudryi: Fond Aktsii” (+4.09%).
The worst indicators in March were demonstrated by funds:
“TASK Resurs” (-3.06%), “Nadbannya” (-1.16%) and “VSI” (-0.48%).
INTERVAL FUNDS
In March, the review included 3 interval CII, whose net assets, according to UAIB, amounted to UAH 3.03M. Compared to the indicators of this sector at the end of the previous month, the total NAV decreased by UAH 19.06k (-0.75%).
No fund attracted investors, changes in NAV occurred solely due to the revaluation of components of investment portfolios.
Based on the rate of return, funds in the sector had the following breakdown of the results:“Parytet” (-0.15%)and“TASK UKRAINSKYI KAPITAL” (-1.96%).
CLOSED-END FUNDS
The net asset value of 3 closed-end CII included in March review, at the end of the month amounted to UAH 16.38M. According to the provided data,total NAV of these funds increased by UAH 1,050.74k (+6.86%).
Based on the rates of return, funds in the sector had the following breakdown of the results: “Indeks Ukrainskoi Birzhi” (+10.07%), “TASK Universal” (-0.60%) and “KINTO-Gold” (-6.26%).
