Ukrainian Association of Investment Business is celebrating its 20th anniversary!

2015 is a special year for the UAIB: on April 14th, the Association is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Over the two decades, UAIB has accumulated unique experience of self-regulation and defending of its members’ rights and legal interests, while creating a favorable environment for investment business development, raising of professional standard of the members and their responsibilities to the society.

Since its inception in 1995 by enthusiasts of the Ukrainian stock market, Association has played a unifying role, for it is has united various single companies that together gained weight as an investment community.

As of 14th April, UAIB unites 330 asset management companies having 1210 collective investment institutions under management, as well as assets of 74 non-state pension funds and of 7 insurance companies.

20th anniversary of the Association falls on a difficult period in the life of Ukraine, which has necessarily affected the asset management industry.

Obviously, it will take time to assess the full impact of this period realistically. However, this is a test of endurance, maturity, and sustainability.

Being aware of this, UAIB is currently focusing its activities on helping the business to endure the crisis period with minimal losses, and moreover – having renewed itself and made ready to take its rightful place in the economy.

The Association believes that this path of 20 years which it has passed, will help to rethink the achievements and failures of previous years and thus to face new challenges confidently, look ahead with optimism while creating prospects and plans for the future.
